Artist's Comments
This is the first all-digital painting I've done completely from reference, rather just using a basic reference and then interpreting from there. I've been trying to work more in grayscale to get a better instinct for lighting. I love colour, but this medium is a better training ground.
Anyway. I'm proud of it. I feel like I have a lot to learn, but I think I'm getting better all the time, which a good feeling. I'm slowly but surely incorporating everything I've learned from other people and all of their amazing work. Cheers. Criticism (especially specific) is greatly appreciated. Comments Wonderful use of tones and shades in expressing both imagery and emotion. This is a very powerful piece. Fantastic job!

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
