WTF

Wow, it's funny how you go to the favourite stock photo male anatomy section, and you get...male anatomy. And yet when you go to the female counterpart, you get a bunch of stupid whores trying to be artistic with too much makeup, lip shots, eyeball shots and feet. How the fuck does that help with anatomy, exactly?

Someone give these girls a collective punching in the face.

Things going on..

I'm going to film school. Whee!
Okay, so the actual getting in wasn't a huge achievement, but for a community college, Seattle Central has an AMAZING little film school.
And now it's all mine. I can't wait.

Presently the things I am juggling- work is the obvious one. Quiznos sandwich maker is a time consuming and demanding occupation, as you can imagine, although I've had rather more time off lately than I like, but Matt wants me to work for him today, so it pretty much covers the difference.

The priority after that of course is Allen Fitzpatrick's website. For those of you who don't know, this is the man who really honestly first got me into Sweeney Todd. He played the title role here in Seattle, and because I have absolutely no shame, I finally bothered to hunt him down online, found his appalling little website and emailed him. We've corresponded for awhile now, and I've since had the pleasure of seeing him in other roles and spending some time with him. Anyway, right now I'm working on a website showcasing his expansive career and present engagements, which is a large undertaking.

After that, I'm separating my time between managing _sweeneytodd, the lj community, the sweeney todd revival myspace, and then I plan to overhaul sweeneytoddonline.com, my website.

Art and fanfic and writings are somewhat of a low priority, sadly, but I plan to get some serious work done on the actor website of doom, and maybe get that out of the way. I've started with the media section, the largest section, so once I have that done, the rest should be a bit easier.

Temporary artistic hiatus..

Sad to say it is true. I'm having a tough time getting my shit together right now- my room is a mess, I have two websitse I'm working on and I'm probably going to be working a LOT this summer as two of my coworkers are leaving on tour. In any case...when I do finally clear some stuff away and get in gear, I'll get back to the teh artworks. I just purchased a little wacom tablet (a 4x5) and I'm itching to get a chance to use it properly- so far I've only done a really halfassed painting. I'm planning on experimenting with colouring more than painting, and that'll be interesting.

In other news, it's been widely broadcasted that Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are going to pair for Sweeney Todd. Which totally fucking sucks, 'cause Johnny Depp can't sing, and he certainly can't sing at baritone range. So the sweeney todd community is doing some shield banging. There are a couple of neophytes who seem to think Burton/Depp is a good idea, but I ask you- if the man can't sing, how can he act the role, when the acting is embedded entirely in the music?

After Auggie's suggestion, my vote goes to Gary Oldman. He's a badass actor and I think he's got it in his range.

Oh, man..been so long..

I've invested in a wacom tablet. A little one, but still. And I'm going to New York again in August.
